Australian and worldwide standards for food grade

There are many standards bodies governing the food industry world-wide and it can be confusing. We have explained them below.

The most active standards body is the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in the United States and most countries take their lead from the US. Fluid Seals supplies O-rings and other seal components that are certified to be FDA compliant.

FSA Logo Food Standards Australia Commonwealth statutory agency with the responsibility for developing and maintaining the Food Standards Code.

FDA Logo US Food and Drug Administration The FDA has established a list of rubber compounding ingredients that tests indicate are neither toxic nor carcinogenic. Rubber compounds that are produced entirely from these ingredients and also pass the FDA extraction tests are said to “meet FDA requirements ”.
